they “forget” anything that doesn’t benefit their side and push their agenda.

Everyone going off in the notes about how this is taken out of context has really never read the gospels have they

Jesus flipped tables because He was pissed that people were capitalizing religion and using it as a tool of personal profit and oppression. Kind of like, I don’t know, the whole of conflated American Christianity/Nationalism?

No no no no no no no my mans didn’t just flip tables he spent an ENTIRE DAY BRAIDING LEATHER INTO A WHIP SO THAT HE COULD DRIVE THE SALESPEOPLE OUT OF THE TEMPLE

Conservative Christians refuse to admit the fact that Jesus was a POC who was killed by his government for trying to make the world a better place. If you want to look me in the eyes and tell me that Jesus wouldn’t stand behind the BLM movement then you need to pick the bible back up and actually read it this time.

Although jeebus is a make-believe myth, the xtians also forget that crucifixion was a punishment reserved for traitors to the Empire (not thieves) -  and was not a Hebrew thing.

We are sharing some of our favourite gifs each day this month for Antifa International’s fifth anniversary. Today: Nazi monuments being destroyed after the defeat of Nazi Germany.

If this offends you 😊 unfollow me 😊

And a note to confederates: these monuments weren’t kept because this was “history”. These monuments celebrated horrible things and we BLEW THEM UP.

Just some more info about this!

The founders, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, sold the company to Unilever in 2000, and have stated that they no longer have an active role in the direction of the company. However, the reason Ben and Jerry’s still does this sort of thing is not due to Unilever’s moral code (lmao): it was a part of the contract between them.

Cohen and Greenfield specified in the contract with Unilever that Unilever was responsible for keeping up the brand integrity and philanthropical apparatus. Unilever is therefore legally bound to have Ben and Jerry’s support Black Lives Matter and call for the end of white supremacy, because they are legally obligated to continue the work the Greenfield and Cohen started, and maintain that culture within the company as well, which means the people who wrote that statement fully believe this.

Also also: Greenfield and Cohen are both Jewish, and have talked about how that has influenced their social activism. I could talk at length about how Jewish law actually literally mandates this (Tikkun Olam, tzedek tzedek tirdof), but I’ll just keep it at this: they’re both very good Jewish men who uphold the core values of our people by pursuing justice at any cost, and they are wonderful examples of what it means to be Jewish.
